Together with other plastic products, they play a ubiquitous role in the lives of several consumers. After the bottles are shipped, they are sold in stores and restaurants. Most bottles are used only once before they are thrown away or recycled. Recycling glass is generally easier and more effective than recycling plastic or paper because glass is 100% recyclable, meaning that the entire bottle can be reused. Recycling plastics is helping to save energy and landfill space. Recycled plastics are used in new building and construction applications every day. Recycled plastics can be blended with virgin plastic (plastic that has not been processed before) to reduce cost without sacrificing performance. The partial substitution of glass bottles with plastic bottles has been demonstrated to yield not only benefits from waste prevention and minimization point of view, but also in terms of consumption of material and energy resources and potential environmental impacts along the bottles life cycle.
