Hi, my name is choi. when i look around websites for auto scaling dedi servers, it seems there is pricing on gamelift but no on playfab. i think playfab has more more more features than gamelift, so afraid about extra pricing needed @MrsPiggy Cool, with photon I'm paying 95$ for each 500ccu, and the main thing I don't like here is that this licenses are per app/server, so, if I for example make a new update on my game and I still want to support the old version for a while I would need a new license just for that, then I will have 2 licenses of 500(2x95$) and none of them are close to the limit because half of my players ... I see that we can do that via PlayFab, with auto-scaling for 10% extra on the original Amazon price. (Otherwise we would be using GameLift, but it's handier to do it directly via PlayFab) My actual question: Which servers should we be looking for? I really cannot see the forest behind the trees. Oct 15, 2019 · There are many things in the GameLift client SDK that you would not want to call on an actual game client because you really shouldn’t be creating critical resources from game clients. The GameLift Server SDK is a special SDK to enable your game server to interact with GameLift. Its not a general client for the GameLift service. GameLift, GameSpark, Photon, Playfab are all alternatives to used UE4 dedicated servers (in the case of Gamesparks and Photon you can use their services in addition to dedicated servers but also without e.g. Gamesparks realtime).
