Hello again! I am running an FN 11.1-U5 box and I want to run an Ubuntu VM that will run either mumudvb or TvHeadend (or both) to stream OTA DVB TV to the network. In order to do this, I need to pass through a USB controller to connect my DVB USB sticks to the VM. Has anyone ever done this with bhyve?
Inside that log, you will see what bhyve options were used. It looks like most options are covered by vm-bhyve's config, though; maybe there is no need to use bhyve directly. I found that during the Ubuntu install partition process, choosing the LVM option would result in the VM booting into the grub console. Bhyve ubuntu MBR. However, the CLI of bhyve is somewhat bulky and bare making it hard to use, especially for the first time. This is what vm-bhyve solves - it provides a simple CLI for working with virtual machines.
